Overview and Jan. 7th, 2011 Update

Overview:
Eric was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure due to a virus.
Eric's heart needs to relax and decrease in size. They are working in kind of a reverse order to get this to take place. Lowering his heart rate and BP so that the heart is not working as hard. Once this happens they will try and let the heart regain strength hoping that it will work properly after that.

Eric has received priesthood blessings from priesthood holders in our church and in each blessing he was given the assurance that with faith he would recover.

Jan. 7th, 2011
As with everything you have good days and bad days. Yesterday, was a good day and his stats were high and looked really good. The procedures that were done over the last couple of days seemed to be doing their job.

Today things seemed to fall a bit and his numbers were not as good, but the Doctor said that he did not fall back too much and that he is still looking good. The next 24 hours will be a time for Eric to be watched closely so that they can know what needs to happen next.

We are so very grateful for each of you and thank you for all your thoughts, prayers, love, and support. We have truly felt your prayers. We know that our Father in Heaven is mindful of Eric and his situation, we must show patience and faith during this affliction.

Please check back for daily updates and please leave comments, these comments will be read to Eric to help and lift his spirits.

Kimberly

  1. I was wondering what was wrong with Eric when he was mentioned in church on Sunday. We will keep him and the rest of your family in our prayers. Stay strong Eric and take it easy. I have faith in priesthood blessings and know that you will have a full recovery.

  2. Kimberly, thanks for doing this. Excellent. Your mom and dad and yourself have really done an excellent job in attending to Eric's needs that are not medical.
To Eric, I love you and am here with you through this journey.

  4. Kimberly, I love the update! Also, Aunt Sue's and we are praying everyday for Eric and all the docs! Eric, we love you and can't wait to see you and visit you. Keith and I were talking about how great it was you when you have popped in while we were at the house helping Daddy and Mama just to show you care. We hope to pop in on you soon!
All our love and prayers, Becky, Keith, Elizabeth, and Christopher.

  8. Hi Eric I hope you have had a good day. I sent one message but I think I might have sent it to myself. This electronic stuff is above my imagination! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

  9. So happy to hear that things seem to be getting better even if it is slow going. I know it gets old laying in that bed all the time Eric but try hard to be patient. It will be worth it in the end. Great time to read the Book of Mormon again when you feel up to it. It will give you strength to keep going.
You and your family are always in our prayers. We love you, Teresa and Fred
